The Wheel Spinner for Fast, Fair Random Picks
This wheel spinner picks a random name, number, team, or answer in one spin. Whether you call it a spinner wheel, a random picker, or just a spinner (wheel) for short, it works the same way: add your options, spin, and the wheel decides fairly. It's a free online wheel spinner with presets for names, yes or no, numbers, letters, colors, NFL and NBA teams, countries, decisions, and roulette, and nothing to download.
How to Use the Wheel Spinner in 5 Steps
You don't need a separate generator. The wheel above builds your spinner wheel as you type.
-
Step 1: Choose a Preset
Click a preset above the wheel: Names, Yes / No, Numbers, Letters A–Z, Colors, NFL Teams, NBA Teams, Countries, Decision, Roulette, or Custom for a blank wheel. The wheel fills in instantly.
-
Step 2: Add Your Names or Options
Type or paste entries into the Entries box, one per line, or type one into the Add box and press Add. Each line becomes a slice. Shuffle and Sort A–Z change the order, never the odds.
-
Step 3: Customize the Wheel
Add a title, pick a color theme (Party, Classic, Rainbow, Pastel, Dark, or Casino), set the spin duration, and switch on Remove winner automatically if every winner should leave the wheel.
-
Step 4: Spin the Wheel
Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Space or Enter. The wheel ticks past each slice as it slows down. Presenting? Press the fullscreen button first.
-
Step 5: See the Winner
The winner appears in a popup. Press Remove to take it off the wheel (great for several winners with no repeats) or Close to keep it. Every pick is added to the results history.
Wheel Spinners for Every Use
Every preset below is one click away in the tool above, and every one can be edited.
Random Wheel Spinner
This random wheel spinner gives every slice exactly the same chance on every spin, using your browser's built-in cryptographic random number generator. Load any preset or type a list, then press Spin. Like any good random spinner wheel, the animation is only for show: the result is decided fairly, and nobody can steer it.
Name Wheel Spinner (Wheel Spinner with Names)
The name wheel spinner is the fastest way to pick a student, a volunteer, or a giveaway winner. Click Names, then replace the sample names with your own, one per line. This wheel spinner with names works as a wheel of names spinner for classrooms and a name spinner wheel for streams; paste your spinner wheel names straight from a spreadsheet. Turn on auto-remove and the wheel name spinner never picks the same person twice.
Custom Wheel Spinner & Wheel Spinner Maker
Click Custom to start a blank custom wheel spinner, then type prizes, chores, questions, or anything else, one per line. As a wheel spinner maker, it lets you add a title, choose a theme, and save the result, so your custom spinner wheel is ready next time. Want the wheel spinner custom to your class or event? Share the link and everyone spins the exact same wheel.
Number Wheel Spinner
Pick Numbers, set a minimum and maximum (for example 1 to 20), and the number wheel spinner fills in every whole number in that range. Use this number spinner wheel for raffle tickets, seat numbers, page numbers, or math games. A wheel number spinner is also a simple way to pick a random number in front of a class.
Color Wheel Spinner
The Colors preset turns the tool into a color wheel spinner where every slice is painted in its real color. Type any color name or hex code and this color spinner wheel shows it in that color. For a rainbow wheel spinner, keep the Colors preset, or untick “Paint color names in their real color” and choose the Rainbow theme for any list.
Yes or No Wheel Spinner
Can't decide? Click Yes / No to load a two-slice yes or no wheel spinner and let it answer. Each side has a true 50/50 chance. Want a “maybe”? Add it as a third line.
NFL Wheel Spinner
Click NFL Teams to load all 32 teams into an NFL wheel spinner. Fans use this NFL team wheel spinner for draft-order games, Madden franchise picks, and “who do we root for this week” challenges. Remove a team after each spin and the NFL spinner wheel works like a random draft.
NBA Wheel Spinner
Click NBA Teams for an NBA wheel spinner with all 30 teams. Use the NBA spinner wheel to choose a team for a 2K rebuild, a bracket game, or a friendly bet on who picks dinner.
Country Wheel Spinner
Click Countries for a country wheel spinner with 195 countries. It's great for geography quizzes, travel ideas, and “cook a dish from this country” nights. Delete the countries you don't need to make a one-continent wheel.
Letter Wheel Spinner
Click Letters A–Z to load the alphabet into a letter wheel spinner. Use it for word games, Scattergories-style rounds, or alphabet practice. Delete tricky letters such as Q, X, and Z for an easier game.
Decision / Choice Wheel Spinner
Click Decision and type your options: restaurants, movies, weekend plans, or which task to do first. A decision wheel spinner settles group debates because nobody has to be the one who decided. This choice wheel spinner is especially handy when the options are all equally good.
Roulette Wheel Spinner
Click Roulette for a roulette wheel spinner with the numbers 0 to 36 in European wheel order, painted in the Casino theme. Every number has the same 1 in 37 chance. It's for party games and probability lessons only; no real money is involved.
Wheel of Fortune Spinner
Want a game-show style wheel of fortune spinner for a booth or classroom? Click Custom, title the wheel, and add one prize per line. Put common prizes on several lines and rare ones on a single line, then spin for confetti and a winner popup. (This tool isn't affiliated with the TV show.)
Free Online Wheel Spinner
This free online wheel spinner runs entirely in your browser on phones, tablets, laptops, and smartboards. There's no sign-up, no download, and no paid tier: it's a free spinner wheel with every feature included. Because the wheel spinner online saves to your browser, your lists stay on your device, and this spinner wheel online even works in fullscreen for presentations.
Wheel Spinner Picker
Use the wheel spinner picker whenever you need one random choice from a list: a winner, a task, or a turn order. People call it a spinner wheel picker, a picker wheel spinner, or a wheel picker spinner, and they all work the same way here. Paste your list, spin, and press Remove to pick the next one.
Spinner Wheel Generator
This spinner wheel generator builds a ready-to-spin wheel from any list in seconds. Paste your entries, or start from a preset, and the wheel spinner generator draws one slice per line with readable labels. Save it, or copy the share link so others can open the same online spinner wheel.
Wheel Spinner Features
- 11 presets: Names, Yes / No, Numbers (your own min and max), Letters A–Z, Colors, 32 NFL teams, 30 NBA teams, 195 countries, Decision, Roulette, and Custom.
- Easy editing: one entry per line, an Add box, Shuffle, Sort A–Z, and Clear.
- Six color themes plus a light and dark mode for the page. Themes never change the results.
- Three ways to spin: the Spin button, a click on the wheel, or Space / Enter.
- Winner popup with confetti, a tick sound you can mute, and auto-remove winner.
- Results history, save and load in your browser, a share link, and fullscreen.
Is the Wheel Spinner Truly Random?
Yes. Each result is chosen with crypto.getRandomValues, the cryptographic random number generator built into modern browsers, so nobody can steer the wheel toward a slice.
- Equal chances. With 10 entries, each has a 1 in 10 chance on every spin.
- No memory. A name that just won is exactly as likely to win again unless you remove it.
- The animation is for show. Spin duration, themes, shuffle, and sort don't change the outcome.
- Streaks are normal. True randomness sometimes repeats. Use Remove or auto-remove to guarantee no repeats.
- Only your list sets the odds. An entry typed twice gets two slices and twice the chance.
Tips for Better Spins
- Keep entries short so labels stay readable on phones and crowded wheels.
- Check for duplicates. Sort A–Z to spot names pasted twice.
- Title your wheel so screenshots, streams, and shared links make sense.
- Save wheels you reuse, like class rosters and chore lists.
- Agree that the spin is final before you press Spin.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a wheel spinner?
A wheel spinner is an online tool that turns a list of options into a spinning wheel. When you spin it, the wheel stops on one option at random, so you can pick a name, a winner, or an answer without anyone influencing the result.
Is this wheel spinner free?
Yes. This is a free wheel spinner with no paid tier. Every feature, including presets, themes, saving, sharing, and fullscreen, costs nothing to use.
Do I need to sign up or download anything?
No. The wheel spinner works online in your browser. There's no account, no email, and no app to install.
How do I make a custom wheel spinner?
Choose the Custom preset (or any preset), then type or paste your options into the text box, one per line. Add a title, pick a theme, and spin. The wheel updates as you type.
Can I make a wheel spinner with names?
Yes. Pick the Names preset or paste your own list, one name per line, and each name becomes its own slice. Use Remove or auto-remove if you want to pick several names with no repeats.
What presets are available?
You can start from Names, Yes/No, Numbers (with your own min and max), Letters A–Z, Colors (each slice in its real color), NFL teams (all 32), NBA teams (all 30), Countries, Decision, Roulette (0–36), or a blank Custom wheel. Every preset can be edited.
How do I spin the wheel?
Press the Spin button, click or tap the wheel, or press Space or Enter on your keyboard.
Is the wheel spinner truly random?
Yes. Results are generated with crypto.getRandomValues, the cryptographic random number generator built into modern browsers. Every slice has an equal chance on every spin, and past results don't affect future spins.
Is this a rigged wheel spinner?
No. This is not a rigged wheel spinner, and it has no hidden settings for choosing a winner in advance. The only thing that changes the odds is what you put on the wheel: an option entered on two lines gets two slices and twice the chance.
Can I pick multiple winners without repeats?
Yes. Click Remove in the winner popup, or turn on auto-remove winner, so each winner leaves the wheel before the next spin. The results history keeps track of everyone picked.
Can I save my wheel and use it later?
Yes. Save your wheel in your browser and load it again whenever you need it. Saved wheels are stored in the browser you saved them in, so use the same browser and device to load them.
Can I share my wheel with someone else?
Yes. Press Copy share link and send the link to anyone. When they open it, they'll see the same wheel so they can spin it themselves.
Can I see previous results?
Yes. Every spin is added to the results history, so you can look back at earlier winners and the order they were picked in.
Can I use the wheel spinner in fullscreen?
Yes. Press the fullscreen button for a large, clear wheel on projectors, smartboards, and livestreams. It works in most desktop, Android, and tablet browsers; iPhone Safari doesn't support fullscreen for web pages, so the button is hidden there.
Can I turn off the sound?
Yes. Use the mute toggle next to the Spin button to turn the tick sound on or off.
Can I use the wheel spinner for giveaways and raffles?
Yes. Add each entrant, spin live (fullscreen works well), and remove each winner if you're drawing more than one. For official, legally regulated sweepstakes, check the rules that apply in your state.
How is this different from the Google spinner wheel?
The Google spinner wheel in search results is handy for a quick spin, but it offers limited options. Compared with the Google wheel spinner, this tool lets you add your own entries, load presets, change themes, save and share wheels, and remove winners between spins.
